I hope there's no unwritten rule out there that requires you to actually have something profound to say to blog. If there is, then my friends I'm truly done before I even start. But since I already have my keyboard in hand and nobody is here to stop me, look out blog-world here I come!
So, to set the stage for possible future blogs and to provide you just a little taste of my point of view, here's some basic facts. Some would say that many of the accomplishments in my life, or at least up to now, would appear to be connected to some really big numbers. For example, I've been happily married for 38 years, I've worked for the same employer for 40 years, I've attended the same church for 30+ years and I'm staring at the Big 6-0 on my next birthday. Okay, I can hear some of you now, you're already saying to yourself, "That old geezer has really had a pretty boring life." I may have to agree with you regarding the "old" part, but "boring" - No Way Jose! But today is not the day for me to prove that fact. Hopefully in the days and blogs to come, we'll all agree, "It's good to be me!"
